Ingredients for Zhoug
- 4 hot red chili peppers
- 4 hot green chili peppers
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 bunch cilantro
- ½ bunch parsley
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 tablespoon sweet paprika
- 1 tablespoon ground cilantro
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Baharat (Middle Eastern spice blend)
- Salt
- A small amount of olive oil
Instructions

1. Using a meat grinder or food processor, ground the chili peppers, garlic, cilantro and parsley into a paste.

2. Transfer to a bowl and mix with the dry seasonings and a little olive oil. Place in a jar and store in the refrigerator for up to two months.
